Very disappointing experience. We went to dine at this restaurant and ordered two biryanis, specifically asking for them to be extra spicy. Unfortunately, when the food arrived, both the rice and chicken tasted as though raw chili powder had simply been added on top. The flavor was extremely unpleasant and nothing like a properly prepared spicy biryani. When I tried to explain to the staff and chefs that asking for “extra spicy” does not mean adding raw chili powder to the dish, my concern was handled very poorly. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, the chefs were rude and refused to either remake the biryanis or provide a refund. Mistakes with food can happen, but the way a restaurant responds to a genuine customer complaint makes a big difference. The lack of professionalism and unwillingness to make things right was extremely disappointing. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.

We had lunch at Spicy Mint Indian Cuisine on Wolf Road today, and it was an excellent experience! The highlight of the meal was definitely the Mutton Curry—rich, flavorful, tender, and perfectly cooked. It is truly their signature dish and a must-try. The Tandoori Chicken was also outstanding, with great smoky flavor and juicy meat. Make sure to enjoy these dishes with their Biryani—they pair perfectly and make for a delicious meal. The buffet time is 11:30 am to 3:30 pm. If you’re looking for authentic Indian cuisine in the Albany area, I highly recommend Spicy Mint Indian Cuisine.

Good 👍 I like it on general. The food is eatable and not bad but I have buffet in other restaurants that have more testier and better food. It is very difficult to find halal buffet around. So nice 👍🙂

I ordered takeout. It was prepared in a reasonable amount of time and packaged well. I ordered the chicken 65 which was very good. I also ordered chicken tikka masala and i was not happy with it. Ive ordered this dish in many restaurants over the years and this was by far one of the worst ive ever had. It was just so oily, unflavorful and a bit too spicy for a medium level spice. You can see in my pictures that it was just soaking in a pool of oil. I would never order that again from here. I wasnt a fan of the garlic naan either. It was thicker, heavier and more chewy than most naan ive had at other places.

Spicy Mint is a good option for Indian cuisine lovers! The flavors are authentic, the dishes are perfectly spiced. It also has both veg and non-veg options. The service is prompt, friendly, and adds to the overall great dining experience. Highly recommend!
